This pair of student lamps is located in a building at the Sitka National Historical Park in Sitka, Alaska. They are in the Russian bishop's house, the oldest intact piece of Russian architecture that dates back to 1842.

An antique lamp owned by the founder of Eastfield Village in Nassau, New York served as the model for these lamps. The reproductions are very similar except for some subtle differences in the base and finial and the decorative brass casting that rests on top of the font. The brass shade bracket was reproduced by taking a clay impression of the original. These lamps were electrified; note that, the source of light is in the same location as it would be if the lamp were oil burning.
